Midfielder Charles MacKarthy is still out with illness and is set to miss out for the fourth game running. Coach Kim Grant otherwise has a full house to choose from, as he seeks to lead his charges to a first win in three games.
Dwarfs are winless in the Ghana Football Association Special Competition (GFASC) after three games and will hope for a response from their charges as they come up against the Phobians.
Accra Hearts of Oak will aim for a second win in the GFASC when they welcome Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs to the Accra Sports Stadium in a match day 4 fixture on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
The Phobians won their opening day fixture 1-0 against Dreams FC also in Accra to get their campaign off to a flying start with striker Kwadwo Obeng Jnr scoring for the home side.
However, two 0-1 defeats on the road to Elmina Sharks and Karela United FC has seen them drop to sixth position on the table after three games and, with the top two sides in this eight team contest advancing to the semi-final stage, Hearts have some catching-up to do.
Coach Grant will be eager to see his side get their campaign back on track with a win and, the former Ghana international will feel confident about the chances of his side as they looked impressive despite going down to those two defeats at Elmina and Aiyinase.
The Phobians have created quite a good number of decent chances in their last two games but, have not been lucky with their final delivery in front of goal.
Strikers Obeng Jnr, Joseph Esso, Selasi Bakai, Anthony Quayson and Kofi Kordzi would be expected to come good on the day if selected to play in front of what would be a very demanding home fans.
Dwarfs have lost all their three games in this competition against Karela 1-2, Liberty Professionals 0-4 and last Sunday’s 0-1 loss at Dawu to Dreams FC.
They will hope to salvage their campaign and restore some hope in their camp as they come up against a much wounded Hearts of Oak side.
The Phobians will however be in an uncompromising mood as they chase destiny of their own looking for the three points that will move them up the table and keep their confidence going for the rest of the competition.
